The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

MLB NEWS AND NOTES
Saturday's FOX Tips
By Kevin Rogers

The Saturday baseball card is a loaded one with games all day long, including three intriguing day matchups in the National League. The Rockies and Giants continue their series by the Bay, while the Dodgers look to make a move in the wide-open NL West against the Reds. We'll start in St. Louis with a pair of rivals getting together for a slugfest at Busch Stadium.

Chicago Cubs at Saint Louis Cardinals (-186, 8.5)

The NL Central leaders won just one of six meetings against the Cubs last season at home as the Redbirds attempt to turn around their luck on Saturday. Tony LaRussa's team has split their last 10 games, but the Cards still lead the division by a handful of games over the Brewers and Reds heading into Saturday's action. Meanwhile, the struggling Cubs look for any kind of spark, but it will be difficult against one of the NL's top pitchers this season.

Kyle Lohse (7-2, 2.13 ERA) has taken over the ace role this season with the early struggles of Chris Carpenter and the season-ending injury to Adam Wainwright in spring training. The former Twins and Phillies' hurler is coming off three straight victories, including a pair of dazzling road performances at San Diego and Colorado. Since a subpar season debut against the Padres, Lohse has turned in quality starts in nine of his last 10 outings, but his weakest role has been at home with the Cards winning two of five times.

The Cubs' pitching staff is statistically the worst in the NL with a collective ERA of 4.77, as Randy Wells (1-1, 5.40 ERA) makes his third start of the season. Wells' first outing off the DL was a forgettable one as he allowed five earned runs in four innings of a 10-0 setback to the Pirates last Saturday. However, the right-hander saw moderate success against the Cardinals in 2010 with a 2-1 record, including a road victory as a $2.00 underdog last September.

LA Dodgers at Cincinnati Reds (-112, 7.5)

Cincinnati has hit the skids following a five-game winning streak in mid-May with losses in 11 of its last 15 contests. The Reds take on a Dodgers' squad that is playing better recently with a 4-2 run over the last week, as Los Angeles sends out its ace in Saturday's matinee.

It's been a roller-coaster ride for Clayton Kershaw (6-3, 2.62 ERA), as the Dodgers are 2-4 in his six starts following a win in his last outing. The 23-year old southpaw blanked the Marlins last Sunday by delivering his best performance of 2011 with a two-hit shutout, while striking out 10. Kershaw's home ERA (2.61) is slightly better than his road ERA (2.64), but the difference is a 5-2 team mark at Dodger Stadium, while L.A. is 2-3 in his five away outings.

The Reds send out Johnny Cueto (2-2, 2.20 ERA), who looks to rebound off a loss in his last trip to the mound at Atlanta. Cueto turned in a solid start by tossing eight innings, but Martin Prado's two-run homer was the difference, giving the Braves a 2-1 victory. The right-hander has compiled four quality starts in five outings, while Cueto searches for his first win in four career starts against the Dodgers.

Colorado Rockies at SF Giants (-102, 7)

San Francisco has won five straight home meetings against Colorado, as the Giants look to hang onto first place in the NL West. The Rockies have hit a bump in the road since a shocking 12-3 start by putting together a 14-26 cold stretch over the last 40 games. Colorado tries to get back on track with Jhoulys Chacin taking the mound, who has lost his previous two starts.

Chacin (5-4, 3.33 ERA) had put together five consecutive quality starts before getting knocked around in home setbacks to the Cardinals and Diamondbacks. The righty allowed 11 hits and nine earned runs in those defeats, dropping Colorado to 1-3 in his last four starts. Chacin won two of three starts against the Giants in 2010, including a one-hit performance in seven innings last May as a $1.40 road 'dog.

The Giants counter with Madison Bumgarner (2-6, 3.66 ERA), who is looking much sharper since a horrible start to his sophomore season. Even though San Francisco is 3-8 in the southpaw's 11 starts, Bumgarner has turned in seven straight quality outings, including a win as a $1.40 road underdog at St. Louis his last time out. Bumgarner owns interesting home/road splits against the Rockies in his short career by beating Colorado twice at home, while losing twice at Coors Field.

Saturday's Streaking and Slumping Starting Pitchers

STREAKING

Jair Jurrjens, Atlanta Braves (7-1, 1.51 ERA)

The NL Pitcher of the Month, Jurrjens was Maddux-like in May. His control has been sharp with his entire repertoire. He’s gone at least six innings in each of his starts and hasn’t walked more than two batters in any of his outings.

Plus, he owns today’s opponent the Mets, going 8-2 with a 2.54 ERA for his career. Jurrjens is a -121 favorite at New York.

Yovani Gallardo, Milwaukee Brewers (7-2, 3.98)

Gallardo has won five straight decisions and has a miniscule 1.29 ERA during that stretch. He takes the hill today against the Marlins, a team he’s never lost to. He’s 2-0 with a 1.74 ERA against Florida.

Gallardo and the Brewers are -130 favorites.

SLUMPING

Chris Volstad, Florida Marlins (2-4, 5.91 ERA)

The ice-cold Volstad will be facing the red-hot Gallardo. The Marlings’ righthander has been getting smoked. He gave up five runs on eight hits in 3 ½ innings of work on Monday and has not won since April 26.

Volstad, however, has been good against the Brewers. Current Milwaukee players are hitting just .196 against him.

Fausto Carmona, Minnesota Twins (3-6, 5.31)

Toronto’s Jo-Jo Reyes hadn’t won in 28 starts, before the Blue Jays whipped up on Carmona and the Twins on Monday.

Carmona allowed nine runs, seven earned, on nine hits in just four innings of work. He has allowed four or more runs and at least one home run in each of his last four starts.

HOT LINES

Saturday's Best MLB Bets

Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants (-123, 7)

Just what the Rockies need – a pitcher-friendly ballpark.

First off, the Rockies are having trouble making contact on their own. The team has scored an absurdly misleading 45 runs over its past 10. The problem with that stat is the Rockies have scored 27 of those runs in two games alone. In the other eight, the team is averaging just over 2 runs per game.

And the road is even worse.

Away from Denver, the team is hitting just .235 and averaging just 3.8 runs per game in those contests. Not surprisingly, the team is just 2-10 in its past 12 road games and a mere 3-7 in its past 10 overall.

Oh, and don’t forget about AT&T Park.

The Giants are posting a 3.08 ERA in their own backyard where opponents are batting a meager .231.

"That big hit just continually seems to elude us right now,” Rockies manager Jim Tracy said. “We just have to keep fighting our way through it. It's painful, and it gets more painful by the day. I won't shy away from it."

PICK: Giants

Detroit Tigers at Chicago White Sox (-132, 9)

Fans should get ready to catch plenty of souvenir balls in this one.

Tigers starter Edwin Jackson and White Sox hurler Justin Verlander have combined to see the over go 14-5 between them this year, with each seeing the number exceed the total seven times. Not to mention they have coughed up a combined 44 hits over their last 40 innings.

And then there is recent history. These sides saw the over hit twice in the first three games they played this season. But that shouldn’t have surprised anyone. Last year, two very similar lineups combined to see the over go a phenomenal 11-5-1 in 17 meetings.

“I still feel like we have been playing relatively good baseball,” White Sox infielder Gordon Beckham said. “I feel like the summer is good to us and we are playing a lot of games at home in June and July."

That warm summer air certainly won’t do anything to slow down these two attacks. It should only help the balls fly further.

Overall, Detroit has seen two of its past three go over the total while Chicago has seen five straight beat the mark.

Bruins at Canucks Game 2: What Bettors Need To Know

Boston Bruins at Vancouver Canucks (-188, 5)
Vancouver Leads Series 1-0

THE STORY: The Vancouver Canucks took a bite out of the Boston Bruins in more ways than one in the opener of the Stanley Cup final. The Canucks seized the upper hand Wednesday, earning a thrilling 1-0 win in what looks like it might be a defensive-minded series. Vancouver looks to go up 2-0 in the best-of-seven when it hosts Game 2 Saturday night at Rogers Arena.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, NBC, CBC, RDS

ABOUT THE CANUCKS: With much of the attention from Game 1 drawn to Vancouver forward Alex Burrows' chomp on the gloved finger of Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron, it was Canucks netminder Roberto Luongo who deserved the most publicity. The much-maligned goalie stopped all 36 shots he faced to win Round 1 of his duel with fellow Vezina Trophy nominee Tim Thomas. Since being benched for the start of Game 6 in the Canucks' first-round tilt with Chicago, Luongo has gone 10-4 with a 1.75 goals-against average, a .942 save percentage and two shutouts. If he continues performing this well, the Bruins will be hard-pressed to keep pace.

ABOUT THE BRUINS: Boston managed to reach its first Stanley Cup final since 1990 despite a playoff-long struggle with the man advantage. The troublesome power play was a factor in Game 1, as the Bruins failed to convert on both a two-man advantage and a four-minute 5-on-4 and finished 0-for-5 in the game. When asked about improving the power play, Bergeron said: "We have to. We have to find a way to score more goals. On the power play, it’s one key area that we need to fix and be better, especially having a five-on-three and a four-minute five-on-four, you’ve got to find a way." The Bruins' power play is at just seven per cent for the playoffs.

WHO'S HOT/WHO'S NOT: Luongo and Thomas are the hottest players going for their respective teams. Luongo has turned aside 90 of 92 shots over the past two games while Thomas has allowed just one goal on his last 58 shots faced.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Vancouver also went 0-for-5 on the power play in Game 1 to dip to 25.8 percent for the postseason. Boston has converted just one of its last 20 man-advantage opportunities.

TRENDS:

* Under is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings.
* Bruins are 0-4 in their last four after allowing two goals or less in their previous game.
* Canucks are 5-0 in their last five playoff games as favorites.
* Over is 6-1 in Bruins' last seven after allowing two goals or less in their previous game.
* Under is 13-3-2 in Canucks' last 18 after scoring two goals or less in their previous game.

LAST WORD: Vancouver defenseman Dan Hamhuis is questionable for Game 2 after suffering a lower-body injury in Wednesday's opener. He was injured shortly after sending Milan Lucic head-over-heels with a hip check near the team benches.

Saturday's Best NHL Bet

Boston Bruins at Vancouver Canucks (-188, 5)

The Boston Police Department is putting out an all-points bulletin for the Bruins’ power play.

The unit was non-existent in Game 1, failing to convert on six chances, including a lengthy 5-on-3 opportunity. This normally would be negated by the Canucks also going 0-for-6, but when you lose 1-0 on a goal with under a minute remaining, every missed chance becomes that much bigger.

And Boston had plenty.

The man-up group was where the team had its biggest power outage. And this is nothing new for the B’s. Boston is just 1-for-17 in its past four losses on the power play and is just 1-for-20 in its past six overall. A big reason for the team struggling so much is its insistence on constant passing to find the best open look.

Patience can be a big boost, but it also can lead to passing up quality chances instead of pulling the trigger on very good ones. Each Boston power play goal this postseason also has two assists on it, meaning the team isn’t getting solid chances off draws or creating havoc in the neutral zone to lead to an odd man rush. The team also is insisting on putting massive defenseman Zdeno Chara in front of the net, instead of letting him rip his all-world shot from the point.

“Maybe at times, we were looking for something better than we had,” Chara said of missed opportunities on the power play this postseason. “Sometimes it’s simple things that make a big difference. But also you need a little bit of luck, too. It’s one of those things where you can create a lot of chances and put a lot of pucks on net, but if you don’t have a little bit of luck, then the rebounds go right where [opposing] players are or the pucks don’t get through, then you will not score. So it’s a little bit of that.”

Boston will need more than a little to come back to the United States with a win.

Saturday's Betting Tips: Good Under Conditions In Florida

Weather To Watch

A sturdy 16-mph wind will be blowing in from straight-away center field in Florida, where the Marlins host the favored Brewers (-134)

Who’s Hot

MLB: The New York Mets have produced the most overs with 34 through Thursday’s games.

NHL: The under is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings between Boston and Vancouver.

Who’s Not

MLB: Pirates starter Charlie Morton has had major trouble with the Phillies in the past, with a hefty 9.75 ERA against Philadelphia.

NHL: The Bruins’ power play is just 1-for-20 in its last six games.

Game Of The Day

Boston Bruins at Vancouver Canucks (-188, 5)

Injury To Note

Few expect Florida shortstop Hanley Ramirez to return anytime soon. The All-Star’s back issues aren’t clearing up, and most expect him to head to the DL soon.

Tips And Notes

- The pointspreads on both Game 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals barely budged, with the Heat opening and staying a 4.5-point favorite over the Mavericks. We’ve already seen more line movement on Game 3. With the series tied, 1-1, the Mavericks opened as 3-point home favorites for Sunday’s game. But early money on the Heat forced the line down to -2.5 at most sportsbooks.

- Bettors can expect the Phillies’ lackluster offense to pick it up with the return of sparkplug Shane Victorino, who’s been out since mid-May. Victorino returned the Phillies’ line up Friday.

- Defending French Open champion Francesca Schiavone is 2-2 against her opponent in today's final, Li Na. Schiavone did win her only meeting against Li on clay, knocking her off 6-4, 6-2 in the round of 32 at last year's French Open.

Hondo

The Rangers stopped the bleeding for Hondo last night as they rocked and rolled in Cleveland to stop his losing streak at three and shrink his deficit to 1,280 olivas.

Tonight, Mr. Aitch is looking for a Dutch treat from Holland -- 10 more units on the Rangers. Also, he'll allow Blackburn to try out for a stall in his vaunted stable of stalwarts -- 10 units on the Twinks.

Write-Up

Saturday, June 4

Vancouver is 8-3 at home in playoffs after winning Game 1 with 0:18 to play on game's only goal. Bruins are 5-4 on road in playoffs; they didn't score in opener even though they had 12 shots in 8:07 they were a man up- they had 1:32 with a 5x3 advantage. Vancouver was 0-6 in 9:31 with power play, getting only seven shots. Canucks are 17-66 on power play in playoffs; Bruins are a pathetic 5-67. Keep in mind that in first round of playoffs this spring, Boston lost first two games of series at home vs Montreal and still won series. Canucks outshot Boston 27-22 in 42:22 where teams were at even strength.
